Resumen
Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo general analizar los retos y desafíos de la Educación Preescolar en relación con la era digital, a la luz de las características del desarrollo desde los tres años hasta los seis años de edad, con el fin de contar con criterios para la construcción y aplicación de propuestas en las aulas de Educación Preescolar.
Esta investigación se enmarca dentro del enfoque cualitativo, aborda el tema de la incorporación de la tecnología digital aproximándose al mismo en profundidad. También es una investigación descriptiva. La población participante estuvo constituida por 20 docentes en ejercicio de Educación Preescolar, 20 docentes en formación de Educación Preescolar, 15 personas de distintas disciplinas, 1 persona del Museo del Niño y las tres investigadoras.
Ofrece una capítulo de Gestión de la Información, el cual abarca la visión holística del contexto nacional y
del mundo; las tecnologías en la actualidad; características de la infancia y principios pedagógicos para la
incorporación de tecnología digital en espacios preescolares.
Como una de las reflexiones finales exponen que afirmar que todos los esfuerzos en Costa Rica, en materia
de incorporación de tecnologías digitales en las aulas han sido en vano sería un gran error. Todos éstos han
sido grandiosos y han permitido el acercamiento de miles de niños, niñas y adolescentes a la tecnología digital.
Ahora es el momento de replantear las estrategias metodológicas que mejoren lo andado para que se disminuya la brecha entre la teoría y la práctica.
ABSTRACT: The general objective of this research is to analyze the stimulations and challenges of Early Childhood Education in relation to the digital era, by the light of the characteristics of development from three years to six years of age, in order to have criteria for construction and application of proposals in the preschool classrooms. This research is part of the qualitative approach, addresses the issue of the incorporation of digital technology approaching it in depth. It is also a descriptive investigation. The participating population consisted on 20 teachers in preschool education, 20 teachers in pre-school education, 15 people from different disciplines, 1 person from the Children's Museum and the three researchers. It offers a chapter on Information Management, which includes the holistic vision of the national context and the world; the currently technologies ; characteristics of childhood and pedagogical principles for the incorporation of digital technology in pre-school spaces. As one of the final reflections, they state that all the efforts in Costa Rica, in terms of incorporating digital technologies in the classrooms , would be a big mistake. All these have been great and have allowed the approach of thousands of children and adolescents to digital technology. Now is the time to rethink the methodological strategies that improve what has been done to reduce the gap between theory and practice.
