Factores de sesgo asociados a la evaluación docente universitaria.

Abstract

La investigación tuvo como objetivo general determinar el grado de asociación entre los resultados aportados por los cuestionarios de evaluación docente y las variables del estudiante, profesor y la clase como: género del estudiante, del profesor, tamaño de la clase, edad del estudiante, del profesor, entre otros, para observar el grado de validez de estos instrumentos. Como método de trabajo se fundamentó en la lectura de las bases de datos bibliográficas sobre el tema. Posteriormente se reconstruyó una base de datos bibliográfica con FILE MAKER y con los datos empíricos aportados por las aplicaciones del Centro de Evaluación Académica, se analizaron utilizando la metodología de modelos jerárquicos lineales, los cuales fueron facilitados por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Entre los aportes más significativos de la investigación está la demostración de la validez del instrumento utilizado por el C.E.A., por medio de los modelos jerárquicos lineales. Una metodología de avanzada, que permite una profundidad de análisis muy superior a los métodos tradicionales. De esta forma :

A las unidades académicas les permitirá contar con instrumentos válidos, que no se vean afectados por factores ajenos a la docencia universitaria. Lo cual les posibilitará la construcción de nuevos instrumentos o tener toda la confianza en los que tienen. Los investigadores tendrán material relevante para análisis de primera mano. Los profesores y administrativos podrán confiar plenamente en su evaluación que les suministrará información verás, la cual permitirá mejorar su acción. La institución en general al poder contar con mejores instrumentos de evaluación de la docencia universitaria. Las unidades académicas que evalúan constantemente a sus docentes, podrán observar el comportamiento de estos y la opinión de sus estudiantes, con instrumentos muy consistentes y válidos.

ABSTRACT: This investigation had as a general objective to determine the grade of association within the results provided by the cuestionnaires of the professor and the variables of the student, the professor and the class , such as : student gender, the professor, class size, the age of the student, the age of the professor , among others to observe the grade of validity of these instruments. As a work method, the lecture of the bibliographic data basis about the topic was fundamented. Later, a bibiographic data basis , WITH FILE MAKER ,was rebuilt , with the emprirical data provided by the application of the Academic Evaluation Center, the methodology of hierarchical linear model was applied and provided by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Among the more significant contributions of the investigation , the istrument used by the C. E.A., trough the linear hierarchical models . An advanced methodology that allow a depht analizis very superior than the traditional methods . Thus : the academic units will be allowed to count on valid instruments , which wont be affected by outsider situations to university teaching . This, will allow the possibility to build new instruments or to have the confidence on those they already have. The professor will be provided by the relevant material from first- hand. The proffesors and administratives will be able to fully trust on their evaluation , which provide them with truth information that will allow to improve their action. The institution , mainly , is able to count on the best evaluation instruments for university teaching. The academic centers which constantly evaluate their professors , will be able to observe their behavior and their students opinion , with very consistent and valid instruments.
