Resumen
La publicación de estas guías, tiene como propósito ofrecer a la comunidad nacional un material escrito para la atención integral de niñas y niños menores de seis años. Diversas investigaciones muestran que la atención integral de calidad durante la niñez contribuye a que las personas logren mejores niveles de escolaridad, mejores puestos de trabajo y se relacionen de una manera más respetuosa y adecuada en sus contextos sociales. Ante esta realidad el aporte de la investigadora mediante estos tres libros, es relevante para promover el desarrollo integral de la niñez en el contexto familiar, brindando a madres, padres y personas encargadas de su cuido, una guía que les permita ampliar sus conocimientos sobre el desarrollo infantil, y a la vez, les brinda la oportunidad de reflexionar sobre el papel que desempeñan como los primeros agentes educativos de sus hijas e hijos.
Los libros emergen de la labor de extensión docente e investigación que ha realizado la investigadora en los últimos años con la Asociación de Madres-Maestras de Costa Rica y Panamá. Es el producto de un trabajo compartido con muchas personas, sobre todo mujeres, que participan en el programa y que desean forjar un mejor futuro para sus hijas e hijos.
La autora logró integrar el conocimiento práctico con el teórico mediante un lenguaje sencillo y accesible con el fin de que las guías sean utilizadas, y contribuir de esta manera, a que un mayor número de personas las utilicen para promover el desarrollo integral de la niñez.
ABSTRACT: The purpose of publishing these guides is to offer the national community written material for the comprehensive care of children under six years of age. Various studies show that comprehensive quality care during childhood helps people achieve better levels of schooling, better jobs and relate in a more respectful and appropriate way in their social contexts. Given this reality, the contribution of the researcher through these three books is relevant to promote the comprehensive development of children in the family context, providing mothers, fathers and caregivers with a guide that allows them to expand their knowledge about the child development, and at the same time, it gives them the opportunity to reflect on the role they play as the first educational agents of their daughters and sons. The books emerge from the teaching and research extension work carried out by the researcher in recent years with the Association of Mothers-Teachers of Costa Rica and Panama. It is the product of a work shared with many people, especially women, who participate in the program and who wish to build a better future for their children. The author managed to integrate the practical knowledge with the theorist through a simple and accessible language in order that the guides are used, and contribute in this way, so that a greater number of people use them to promote the integral development of childhood.
