ABSTRACT: The Central Executive Functions (CEF) describes the activity related to various regions of the prefrontal cortex, which allows an individual to solve problems, make decisions, and be structured in a changing environment as well as to predict and even manipulate it effectively. The centralization of the CEF requires the peripheral executive (any adult who has a pedagogical or mediation role) who serves as the connection between the internal and external environments of the child. In this book, the qualifications of the peripheral executive and a proposal of development CEF activities are included based on the knowledge of neurodevelopment and maturation of the population between 0 and 8 years of age.
